Agoutis are large rodents with coarse hair that acts as a "rain coat". They're populated in Central and Southern American rain forests. They feast mainly on nuts, helped by their strong teeth. They are used to laying low to stay out of their predators' paths to avoid being eaten.
Spider Monkeys are herbivores and usually eat fruits and nuts and sometimes leaves and branches as well. Human hunting and deforestation has made these animals endangered, but other animals aren't usually a worry.

Jaguars are one of the largest in the feline group. They are one of the main tertiary consumers in the forest. They are a dominant predator, and are carnivores, so they depend on the smaller animals as their food, which those animals are dependent on different types of plants to live. Their large canine teeth help with hunting and preying. One of its main meals in this rain forest is the tapir, contributing to the endangerment.
Pumas, also known as Mountain Lions, Cougars, and Panthers, are another tertiary consumer in the forest. They are carnivores, and they will go for animals of any size as their meals.

Tapirs are somewhat large animals from South America, Central America, and Southeastern Asia forests. They are herbivores and rely on nutrients such as leaves, berries, and even twigs. These animals are currently considered endangered. Because of their large size, they aren't typically hunted by other animals but if they are, it's usually big cats, and most commonly, humans.
Sloths eat mainly fruits and leaves, making them herbivores which puts them at the near bottom of the food chain as primary consumers.
