This biome's biotic factors are limited in a way. The dense fog that covers the area and the canopy trees that block the sunlight and rain require the plants and animals in the forest able to be relient on slight rain, dew, and sometimes limited sunlight. The amount of plants is very plentiful as different plants are alive at different times of the year due to the varied weather types. The animals are very diverse and there are a lot of them, ranging from birds to big cats. The rain forest is no stranger to endangered species, some of them being spider monkeys and tapirs. Both of these animals are endangered because of human hunting and deforestation.
